Jerome J. "Jerry" Thoennes, 76, rural Doran, MN, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at his home. Jerry was born May 9, 1929 to Joseph and Anna "Dorothy" (Henschel) Thoennes at Millerville, MN. At a young age he moved with his family to White Rock, SD. He attended rural school in the Campbell, MN area. Jerry was united in marriage to Lauretta Schott on September 25, 1947 at Breckenridge, MN. The couple made their home at Morris, MN for 2 years and then moved to the Campbell area where they have lived for over 50 years. Jerry was an independent truck driver for 39 years, known to his truck driving buddies as "Geronimo." Following his retirement in 1995, Jerry enjoyed farming with the Deal brothers. He also enjoyed gardening, lawn mowing, building unique bird houses, and helping his children with remodeling projects. He especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN.
Prayer Service 7:00 P.M at the funeral home, lead by Fr. Wenceslaus Katanga. There will also be visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral at St. John's Church
