John Rightmire

John H. Rightmire, 81, Breckenridge, Minnesota, died May 13, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center, Breckenridge, MN.

He was born July 22, 1923 near Lisbon, ND to Charles and Margaret (Patterson) Rightmire. He grew up and attended school in Lisbon, where he graduated from high School. John then attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. Later, he entered the U.S. Marine Corp., serving for 4 years. Following his service, John returned to this area. He was married to Patricia Mae Martin, his wife of 59 years, on June 24, 1946 at Salem Lutheran Church, rural Fargo, ND; a church that was built by Patricia's grandfather. The couple lived in Fargo where John worked for Corwin-Churchill. They lived in several locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin while John worked for General Motors. In the early 1970's they settled in Breckenridge, MN, where he owned and operated an auto parts business.

John was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, boating, and pheasant hunting. He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by: His wife: Patricia Rightmire, Breckenridge, MN; His son: John Charles Rightmire, Breckenridge, MN; His daughters: Leslee (Orrin) Ausen, North Mankato, MN; Wendy (Rick) Upton, Columbia Falls, MT; His 4 grandsons, a granddaughter, a great-grandson and 2 great-granddaughters
