Josephine Ann Wehland

Josephine Ann (Shockley) Wehland, affectionately known as “Jo,” age 92, of Breckenridge, MN, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Medical Center, Breckenridge, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. A memorial service to honor her life will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge, with a visitation scheduled one hour prior to the service. Interment at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home.

Josephine Ann was born in Doran, MN, on August 2, 1931, to Louis and Jessie (Kozenek) Shockley. Her formative years were spent on the family farm in Doran, where she attended the local country school. In 1949, she proudly obtained her diploma from Breckenridge High School before venturing to Minneapolis, MN. Her career began at a bank there, but it was at Honeywell, Minneapolis, where she truly found her calling, dedicating over 30 years as a fabricator.

Residing in Blaine, MN, Jo was married to William Erickson in 1956. She later found love again and was married to Andrew Wehland.

Throughout the years, Jo was an avid golfer and loved spending time on the green and cherished spending time with dear friends over rounds of cards. When she found time by herself, she delved into a new book that now decorate her shelves. 

Jo is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wehland; parents, Louis and Jessie Shockley; and brothers, Louis Shockley, John Shockley, and David Shockley.
