  History: Laurel was born Nov. 20, 1927 to Herbert and Clara(Engisch) Buus at Breckenridge, MN.  She grew up and attended school in Breckenridge and graduated in 1945.  Laurel went on to attend North Dakota State School of Science majoring in Business.  She then moved to Washington D.C. where she worked for a telephone company.  Laurel returned to Breckenridge where she worked as a secretary  for the Korbel and Gospodar Law Firm.
  
  
  She was married Oct. 14, 1952 to Leslie Bruce at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, MN.  The couple made their home in Meadows Twp. where they farmed.  Laurel enjoyed sewing, quilting, crossword puzzles, daily journaling, cooking, and preparing for family gatherings.  She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends.   She was a wonderful wife, mother, and Grandmother and will be greatly missed by many.
