Linda Friederichs

Linda Ann (Kempfer) Friederichs, aged 74 passed away with family at her side in Surprise, AZ on January 15th, 2024. She was born on October 6th, 1949, in Fergus Falls, MN to Bud and Helen (Brummond) Kempfer. She was raised on the family farm in Foxhome, MN. She graduated from Breckenridge high school in 1967. She was a homemaker while raising her 3 children, Stacy, Steph, and Joe. She met and started her life with her partner, Steve Alstadt in 1986. He was by her side caring for her until the very end. 
She enjoyed casinos, talking with her sister, Joanne, sitting in her backyard, reading, spending her winters in Arizona with Steve, feeding the neighborhood strays, and drinking coffee and beer while eating burnt steak with her longtime friend, Lynn. Her fiery personality is something she carried with her until the very end!

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen and her fathers, Bud Kempfer and Clifford Hagstrom, and an infant brother, baby boy Kempfer.
Left to remember her are her life partner of 37 years, Steve, her 3 children, Stacy (Jon) Willgohs of Staples, MN, Steph (Rick) Kropp of Breckenridge MN, and Joe Friederichs of Lawrenceville, GA, her 8 grandchildren,  Elizabeth (Ryan) Wright, Mercedes (Derick) Showers,  Abby (Travis) McDougall, Forrest McKibben, Sarah (Chase) Landsem, Anna Willgohs, Cash Kropp, and Charlie Kropp, 9 great-grandkids with 3 more on the way, her brothers, Butch (Shannon) Kempfer, Jim (Faye) Kempfer, David (Barb) Hagstrom, and sister Joanne (Mike) Stadther, her long-time friend, Lynn Iverson, and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial and prayer service will be planned this spring.
