Lowell Best, 75, of Breckenridge, MN, died Sunday October 6, 2013 at St. Francis Health Care Campus in Breckenridge. The funeral will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 10 at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge. There will be a visitation on hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00AM. The interment will be Pleasant View Cemetery in Lidgerwood, ND
Lowell "Butch" Best was born September 21, 1938 to Logan and Margaret (Tosse) Best in Veblen, SD. He grew up in Lidgerwood, ND and attended school in Doran, MN. He entered the US Army on March 14, 1956 and proudly served his country until August 26, 1958. After the military service he lived in the Twin Cities, Perham, MN, and lastly in Breckenridge.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lowell's neighbors who kept a close eye on him, helping out in countless ways.
Lowell is survived by his brothers Duane (Darleen) Best of Hopkins, MN and Richard (Marilyn) Korinek of Moorhead, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Saralyn Miller, Roger Best, James Best, Donald Best and Jerry Korinek.
