Margaret Rosella Kressin November 5, 1939 – September 12, 2025
Margaret Rosella Kressin, lovingly known as Margie, passed away on September 12, 2025. Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 16th at St. Mary’s Church, followed by a Catholic service at 11:00am. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Fairmount, ND.
Born on November 5, 1939, to Henry and Margaret (Muellenbach) Sikorski, Margie was baptized on November 12, 1939, at St. Anthony’s Church in Fairmount, beginning a life rooted in faith. Margie graduated from Campbell High School in 1957 and married Allan Kressin, on February 11, 1961. Together, they had two children, Lynn and Linda.
Margie devoted her career to caring for others in many meaningful ways. She began as a nurse assistant at St. Francis Hospital and then worked at Dr. Pfister’s Dental Office. Margie also served at the Developmental Achievement Center (DAC) in Breckenridge, where her dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities was deeply felt. Her commitment to the DAC continued as she became a valued member of its Board of Directors. Later, she opened her heart and home to children, providing daycare for 13 years in Breckenridge (her favorite child to take care of being her granddaughter, Nicole). She was lovingly known to all her daycare kids as “Grandma Margie”.
In 1994, Margie and Allan moved to the lake near Ashby, MN, embracing the peace and beauty of lake life. She continued her hardworking ways at Farmer’s Produce for another 13 years before retiring. Margie enjoyed playing cards, fishing, crosswords puzzles, word finds, watching movies, baking, her flower and vegetable gardens, seeing pictures of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and forgetting the peas in the microwave during family meals.
She is survived by her children, Lynn (Bev) Kressin, Linda Kressin all from Breckenridge, MN; sisters Pat Palmer of Moorhead, MN, Cathy (Francis) Rubish, Fairmount, ND; granddaughters Nicole (Justin) Davy of Bismarck, ND and Michelle Kressin of Fargo, ND; great-grandchildren Quinn and Everett Davy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Allan; parents Henry and Margaret Sikorski; brothers, Clem Sikorski, Victor Sikorski, Henry Sikorski, Jr., Vincent Sikorski, and John Sikorski; sister, Veronica Rode.
