Mildred Edenstrom, 89, Breckenridge, MN, formerly Wolverton, MN died August 20, 2005 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at 10:00 A. M. at St. Francis Healthcare Chapel, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at St. Francis Chapel. Rev. Donn Roach will be officiating. Interment will be at Eagle Cemetery, Rural Christine, ND.
Mildred is survived by: Her twin sister, Marvel Johnson, St. Francis Home, Breckenridge, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by: Her parents: Axel and Hilda Edenstrom; Her sisters: Nellie (Emil) Nord, Pearl Edenstrom, Eileen Edenstrom and Fern (Philip) Nelson; Her brother: Richard Edenstrom in infancy
Mildred Violet Edenstrom was born December 6, 1915 in Wolverton, MN, the daughter of Axel Fredrick and Hilda Marie (Alm) Edenstrom. She attended school in Wolverton and worked at Carl Nord's grocery store for several years. In 1949, Mildred moved to St. Paul and worked at St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company until she retired. Following retirement she lived in St. Paul for a few years then returned to live near her sister, Marvel Johnson, in Wolverton. She became a resident of St. Francis Home in January, 1999, where she has since resided.
Mildred enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, attending sporting events and socializing with friends and family. She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and rock collector.
Mildred was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Wolverton. She was kind and generous, and dearly loved by all her nieces and nephews in whom she took great pride. Her family would like to express their sincere thanks to her dear friends and all who have visited Mildred and kept her in their prayers over the years.
