Patricia Suzanne Fuentes, 78, of Wolverton, MN, passed away in her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, on Sunday, June 19, 2016. The visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, June 21, at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home at 303 North 5th St, in Breckenridge, MN. The visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 22, from 9:00 to 9:50 AM, at Faith Lutheran Church, 302 1st St. in Wolverton, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. Pastor Laurel Ivers will be officiating. The interment will be at the Salem Cemetery near Wolverton.
Patricia "Pat" Endicott was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on June 13, 1938, the youngest of five children born to Glenwood and Elvera (Spears) Endicott. On October 2, 1953, Pat married Joseph A. Fuentes. Joe was in the Air Force and stationed in Duluth until 1958, at which time they were transferred to Germany. After his seventeen years in the military, Joe and Pat moved back to Duluth and then relocated to Barnesville, Minnesota in 1969. Joe passed away on Dec. 20, 1983.
Pat met Leslie Johnson and it didn't take long to discover that they were meant to spend the rest of their lives together. She moved to the Johnson family farm in June of 1985. One of the hobbies they enjoyed together was antiquing. This led to attending many auction sales and eventually owning and operating Pat's Antiques for 29 years. She loved animals. Pat had a creative knack for arranging flowers and a heartfelt joy in cooking meals for her family and friends.
Pat will be missed by her life partner, Leslie Johnson; her children, Robin Fuentes of Anchorage, Alaska, Glenda (Wayne) Jacques of Bentley, Alberta Canada, Jeffrey Fuentes of Missouri, Susan (Roger) Hinsperger of Lincoln, ND, and Pattie Jo Fuentes of Columbus, Ohio; 25 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; Leslie's children, Candy Johnson of Fargo, Mark (Kristi) Johnson of Wolverton, Laurie (Michael) Brakke of Walcott, ND, and Nancy (Kevin) Olthoff of Wolverton; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Glenwood and Elvera; her husband, Joseph; her son, Joseph, Jr.; Leslie's sons, Thomas Johnson and David Johnson; and her four siblings, Glen Endicott, Jr, Darlene Thorson, Lois Scott, and Jack Endicott.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be designated to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
