Robert "Bob" Church, 64, rural Tintah, MN, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls, MN. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 2:30 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, MN at a later date.
Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce Church, rural Tintah, MN; his children, Scott (Sherry) Church, Tintah, MN, Keith (Kelly) Church, Mantador, ND, Shelly Joyce, and her special friend Dave Cantrell, Tintah, MN, Kurt (Dorathy) Church, Dent, MN, Rodney (Amy) Church, Breckenridge, MN, Kristi (Chad) Lelm, Walcott, ND; and his 26 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Minnie Church; his granddaughter, Alicia Church; his brothers, Howard, Charles (Cub), Edward, and Elmer Church; his sister, Marion Handke.
Robert "Bob" Church was born on August 20, 1943 in Breckenridge, MN to Walter and Minnie (Nadeau) Church. He grew up and attended school in Campbell, MN. He then worked for the Peter Schweitzer Company. He also worked for various farmers in the Campbell area.
On September 29, 1962 he was united in marriage to Joyce Murray in South Dakota. After their marriage they lived in Wahpeton, ND and later lived on a farm south of Tenney, MN. Bob drove truck for Alfred Krause of Breckenridge, MN and also for Dale Jacobs of Dumont, MN. Later in life Bob became involved in his own business of buying and selling scrap iron.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting John Deere toy tractors, and attending auction sales. He also loved visiting with strangers and he especially enjoyed the times spent with his family.
