Sandra Marie Wolters, 69 of Breckenridge, MN died in her home on Friday, September 7, 2012. The funeral will be at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, September 10 at 2:00 PM. The visitation is from 11:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00. Pastor Mark Manning will be officiating. The interment is at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge.
Sandy was born March 30, 1943 in Great Falls, MT to Peter and Marie (Bjerke) Rieger. As a child, they moved to North Dakota, and eventually moved to Wahpeton, ND where she graduated from high school. Sandy was united in marriage to Donald Wolters on June 28, 1964 at Breckenridge Lutheran Church. They made their home in Breckenridge. She enjoyed tending her flower garden and was a thoughtful companion to her cats. She had an extensive Barbie Doll collection and took pleasure in going to garage sales.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Don Wolters of Breckenridge, MN; her sisters, Sharon Berge of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Susanne Rieger of Fargo, ND; her brother David Rieger of Cheyenne, ND; her mother- in- law Rose Wolters of Breckenridge, MN; her sister- in- law Donna Halvorson; and many nieces and nephews.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Marie Rieger and her sister Norma.
