Sharon Klemm, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, fierce loyalty, and a kitchen full of wonderful memories. Known as a true spitfire, Sharon never backed down from a good debate or banter with her friends and family, and her zest for life was infectious.
Sharon was born on September 26, 1947, in Welcome, MN, to Raymond and Gertrude (Brockman) Blom. The family later moved to Kensington, MN, where she graduated from high school in 1965. That fall, she married the love of her life, Ralph Klemm, on October 9, 1965. She joined him in San Diego, CA, while Ralph served in the United States Navy. They later relocated to Breckenridge, MN, and Doran, MN, before finally settling on their farm in rural Doran.
Sharon's greatest joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Ralph Klemm, her parents, Ray and Gertrude, her son-in-law SSG David Kuehl, and her brothers, Michael, Roger, Larry, and Dennis.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Amy and Sara; her sons-in-law, Anthony and Jason; and her seven cherished grandchildren: Kiley, Messa, Carson, Koedyn, Shyann, Oliver, and Boone. She also leaves behind her sister, Joyce, and brothers, Donald, Jim, and Richard.
She is also survived by her bonus grandchildren: Adam, Aaron, Nathaniel, Taylor, Bryce, Colton, Morgan, Sadie, and Lilly.
Throughout her life, Sharon held several diverse jobs, from being a hairdresser to working on an assembly line. Her most recent roles as a lunch lady were especially dear to her heart, and she cherished her time serving meals at Wahpeton Middle School and Breckenridge High School.
Sharon's passions were a vibrant part of her life. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, never missing a chance to cheer on her team. She had a fondness for collecting cow memorabilia and was famous for her delicious cooking, especially when she was cooking for a crowd. When she wasn't filling the farm kitchen with the aroma of a home-cooked meal, she could be found keeping her yard looking good and meticulously decorating for every holiday. With a cold Coors Light in hand, she would spend time resting with her loyal dog, Penny, and her beloved cat, Don.
Sharon’s sharp wit, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral service will be held at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25, 2025 with visitation from 1-3 pm followed by her service at 3 pm.
