Sherilynn Meisch, age 53, of West Fargo, ND, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014, at Sanford Health in Fargo. The funeral service will be on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Breckenridge Lutheran Church. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Mark Manning will be officiating. The interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge, MN.
Sherilynn Marie was born on September 30, 1960 in Crookston, MN, to Marvin and Harriet (Volden) Bakken. She grew up in Breckenridge, and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1979.
Sherilynn was united in marriage to Gregory Paul Jaeb on March 21, 1981. The couple made their home in Fargo, ND, and also Minneapolis, MN. Of this union they had two children, Nicholis and Jennifer.
Sherilynn worked part time for Sears in Northtown Mall in Minneapolis. Sherilynn was united in marriage to Marvin Meisch on March 20, 1991 in Fargo. Of this union they had one daughter, Cierra. Sherilynn enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. She also worked part time at Cenex and Stop-N-Go, until her health declined.
Sherilynn had many hobbies and interests. She liked to read, do crossword puzzles, and watch super-natural TV shows. She loved shopping, especially getting a good deal at a rummage sale. She also enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing, fishing, and camping. Some of her fondest childhood memories are of camping with her parents at Rush Lake.
Family was very special to Sherilynn. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and was very proud of them. She was especially close with her mom and dad, and enjoyed frequent phone conversations with them. She also liked to keep in touch with her siblings and catch up on their families.
Sherilynn is survived by her parents, Marvin and Harriet Bakken, of Breckenridge; her son, Nicholis (Katie) Jaeb, and their daughter Lilia, of Bloomington, MN; her daughter, Jennifer Jaeb, and her children, Morgan, Logan, and Luciana, of Coon Rapids, MN; her daughter, Cierra Meisch (Stephen Hunt), of Britton, SD; her sister, Julie (Tom) Eder, of West Fargo; her brother, Steven (Melissa) Bakken, of Breckenridge; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tom and Elma Volden; and her paternal grandparents, Louie and Amanda Bakken.
