Terry Owens

Terry Owens, 65 of Breckenridge, MN, died August 8, 2010 at St. Francis Health Care Campus. The service of remembrance will be on Wednesday August 11 at 12:00 pm. St. John’s Catholic Church of Wahpeton, ND. Officiating is Father Terry Dodge. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at 11:00 am.

Terry was born to Fred and Pearl (Henricks) Owens on September 19, 1944 in Cando, ND. He was brother to Larry, Rick, Vicki, Jacki and Bobbi. His father farmed in various areas of ND. Terry met Cathey Sattler in Rugby, ND and they were united in marriage on August 31, 1973 in Grand Forks, ND. They made their home in Rugby for 3 years. In 1976, Cathey and Terry moved to Wahpeton, ND where they raised their 4 children and Terry began a new career with Frontier Manufacturing as a welder. In 1989, they moved to Breckenridge, MN

Terry enjoyed gardening, yard work, furniture building and welding. He looked forward to spending quality time with his family and dining out once a week.

Terry is survived by his wife Cathey; his children, Bonnie Odegaard of Anoka, MN; Connie Hutton of Fargo, ND; Julie Buckman of Dickinson, ND and Angel Owens of Breckenridge, MN; his 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; his mother, Pearl Owens of Rugby, ND; his siblings, Larry (Patty) Owens of Breckenridge, MN; Rick (Sandy) Owens of Jamestown, ND; Vicki Slaubaugh of New Paris, IN; Jacki Cassavant of Crookston, MN; and Bobbi (Chuck) Welk of Dickinson, ND.
