Theodore R. "Ted" Anderson, 72, of Breckenridge, MN passed away on Friday, June 17, 2005 at St. Francis Nursing Home of Breckenridge, MN.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, MN with Father Richard Walz officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2005 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation at the funeral home prior to the funeral on Tuesday. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.
Ted is survived by his wife, Tillie Anderson, Breckenridge, MN; his three sons, Scott Anderson, Breckenridge, MN, and his sons, Bradyn and Ryan, Paul (Pamela) Anderson, and sons, Tristan and Peyton, Wimberley, TX, Rick Anderson, Breckenridge, MN and his son, Evan; his brother, Bill (Kathleen) Anderson, St. Paul, MN, and twenty-three nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer "Andy" and Alvina Anderson.
Ted was born April 23, 1933, in Breckenridge, MN, the son of Elmer J. "Andy" and Alvina (Geister) Anderson. He grew up and attended school in Breckenridge, graduating in 1951. He then furthered his education at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN, and graduated in 1955. Ted then returned to Breckenridge and worked with his father at Red River Jobbing Company in Breckenridge. Ted took over ownership in 1992 until his retirement in 1999.
Ted was married to Tillie Bachmeier on January 16, 1960 at Tintah, MN. They always made their home in Breckenridge.
Ted enjoyed hunting with his friends of many years where he was known as "the #1 marksman", fishing, golfing with friends, and following the Minnesota Vikings. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge, the Catholic Order of Foresters, Eagles Club Aerie #2749 in Wahpeton, ND, and the MN and ND Beverage Wholesalers.
