Violet A. Krier, 92, Breckenridge, MN, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center, Breckenridge, MN. Her funeral will be held Saturday,March 11, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge. Father Richard Walz will be officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2006 from 4:30 to 8:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons FH, Breckenridge, MN. Prayer Service at 8:00 PM. Christian Mother's Rosary at 5:00PM. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton, ND.

Her sons: Ronald and Cindy Krier of Breckenridge, MN; William and his fiance' Connie Cirincione of Torrance, CA; Her daughter: Holly and Frank Gregor of Wahpeton, ND; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; Her sister: Alberta Johnson of Minot, ND.

Violet was born March 28, 1913 in Breckenridge, MN to Frank and Marie (Maruska) Trupka. She grew up and attended school in Wahpeton, ND. After she finished her schooling she worked for Johnson Photography in Wahpeton, ND.
Violet was united in marriage to Hollis Krier on Oct. 15, 1940 in Wahpeton. They made their home in Breckenridge. Vi was active in her church and community. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, St. Judes Mission Circle, Park Addition Homemakers, Breckenridge Senior Citizens, Wilkin County Historical Society, and the Railroad Retirees of Breckenridge/Wahpeton.
She loved to garden and care for the neighborhood. Vi volunteered at St. Francis Hospital and Home for many years. She enjoyed time spent with her family at the lake, especially her grandchildren.
